What is Chin Filler?

The simplest, most transformative 10 minutes on your face.

Chin filler uses hyaluronic acid to project a receded chin, elongate a short chin, or create a more defined chin tip — dramatically improving side profile and overall facial balance. The nose-lip-chin alignment(Ricketts' aesthetic line) is one way clinicians may assess side-profile proportion. At Newline Clinic, chin filler options in the supplied price list include Bellast ₩120,000, Rejuviel ₩240,000 and Juvederm ₩400,000. Product choice and required volume are determined after physician assessment.

How it works

The science ,
simplified.

Understanding the mechanism helps you set realistic expectations and choose the right brand for your goals.

01

Profile analysis

the treating physician evaluates your side profile using photography. We check the Ricketts' line (from nose tip to chin tip) — attractive profiles have the upper lip 4mm behind this line and lower lip 2mm behind. A receded chin throws off this balance.

02

Topical numbing

Numbing cream applied for 10 minutes. Chin skin is less sensitive than other facial areas, so discomfort is minimal. Filler contains lidocaine.

03

Deep placement injection

The treating physician injects filler DEEPLY — on the bone (periosteum) of the chin. This provides strong lifting and prevents migration. Typical placement: 2–3 injection points on the chin tip and lateral chin.

04

Molding and assessment

Filler is gently molded for smooth, symmetric projection. You'll see results immediately. Full settling at 2 weeks, results last 12–18 months. Chin filler tends to last longer than other areas due to limited muscle movement.

Treatment areas

Where we inject ,
and why.

Each area has its own anatomical target, typical volume, and result timeline. the treating physician will recommend a personalized plan during consultation.

Area Concern Treated Typical Volume Results In
Chin Tip (Mentum) Receded chin, 'weak' profile 0.5–1.0cc Immediate
Chin Projection Elongate short chin for balance 0.5–1.0cc Immediate
Lateral Chin Narrow, undefined chin shape 0.2–0.4cc per side Immediate
Pre-Jowl Sulcus Depression in front of jowls 0.3–0.5cc per side Immediate

Frequently asked

Chin Filler
questions.

How much does chin filler cost in Busan?
At Newline Clinic, the supplied chin-filler price list shows Bellast ₩120,000, Rejuviel ₩240,000 and Juvederm ₩400,000. Belotero SOFT is not listed for chin filler. The amount of filler needed is determined during physician assessment.
How long does chin filler last?
Chin filler longevity varies by product, injection plan, metabolism and individual response. The treating physician can discuss an appropriate review or maintenance interval after assessing how the filler settles.
Will chin filler make my face look longer?
That's the goal — in a balanced way. If you have a round face or receded chin, adding projection lengthens your lower face, creating a more oval, harmonious proportion. If you already have a long face, we don't recommend chin filler. Consultation determines appropriateness.
Is chin filler as good as chin implant surgery?
Different options for different goals. Filler: reversible, no scarring, lasts 1–2 years, lower cost, 10-minute treatment. Implant: permanent, requires surgery + recovery, potential scarring, higher cost, but no maintenance. Most patients start with filler to 'test drive' the look before considering surgery.
How much chin filler do I need?
Most patients need 0.8–1.5cc for noticeable improvement. Minor projection: 0.5–0.8cc. Moderate: 1.0cc. Significant: 1.2–2.0cc. We recommend starting conservatively — you can always add more, but you can also dissolve if too much.
Can chin filler fix my double chin?
Partially. Chin filler projects the chin forward, which can help 'stretch out' loose submental (below-chin) skin, making double chin appear less prominent. For actual double chin reduction, consider: Body ONDA radiofrequency, submental botox, or Kybella (deoxycholate). Often combined with chin filler for best results.
Will chin filler affect my smile or speaking?
No. Filler is placed deep on the bone, away from muscles. You'll have full natural movement — smiling, speaking, chewing are unaffected. For 2–3 days post-treatment, you may feel mild tightness, but this resolves quickly.
Does chin filler hurt?
Minimal. Chin skin is less sensitive than lips or nose. Numbing cream (10 min) plus lidocaine in filler keeps discomfort at 2/10. Treatment time is only 5 minutes. It's one of our least uncomfortable filler treatments.
Can I combine chin filler with jawline botox?
Yes — extremely popular combination. Chin filler PROJECTS the chin forward; jawline botox SLIMS the masseter muscle. Together they create a V-line effect — pointed, elegant, feminine. Many patients also add lip filler in same session for full lower-face transformation.
Do you offer English-speaking consultations for chin filler?
Yes. Newline Clinic supports consultations in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. A Chinese-speaking coordinator is available full-time, with English and Japanese interpretation available on request. Treatment volume is determined individually after physician assessment.
