What is Nose Thread Lifting?

A sharper nose, no needle of filler.

Nose thread lifting uses fine absorbable threads inserted along the nasal bridge and tip to physically sharpen the profile. Unlike filler, which adds volume, threads create structural definition without relying on added gel volume — an option for patients seeking bridge or tip refinement without an implant. At Newline Clinic, the physician confirms whether nose thread lifting is appropriate and selects the thread type, number and placement according to individual anatomy.

How it works

The science ,
simplified.

Understanding the mechanism helps you set realistic expectations and choose the right brand for your goals.

01

Nose anatomy assessment

The physician evaluates nose proportion, bridge height, tip projection and skin thickness. Threads are generally used for modest bridge definition or tip support rather than major skeletal reshaping.

02

Local anesthesia

Lidocaine injection at the columella (base of nose) and dorsum. Numbing takes effect in 5 minutes. Some patients prefer light sedation for comfort.

03

Thread placement

Absorbable threads are inserted along the bridge and/or tip according to the treatment plan. Thread type, depth, direction and number are selected by the physician based on anatomy and the intended degree of refinement.

04

Mild swelling + healing

Mild swelling for 2–3 days, occasional bruising at insertion points. Avoid pressure on nose for 2 weeks (no glasses, no nose-rubbing). Final result at 4 weeks; lasts 12–18 months.

Frequently asked

Nose Thread Lift
questions.

How much does nose thread lifting cost in Busan?
Newline Clinic's supplied price guide confirms Mint thread at ₩120,000 per thread and N-Cog / Scaffold at ₩80,000, with the unit for N-Cog / Scaffold not specified. A nose thread lift total price is not separately confirmed; final pricing is confirmed at consultation after the physician determines thread type, number and placement.
How long do nose threads last?
Thread absorption and the duration of visible effect vary by thread material, product, placement, anatomy and individual healing response. The source treatment guide describes effects lasting across many months, but the physician will explain the expected timeline for the specific thread selected.
How is nose threads different from nose filler?
Threads provide structure and lift (no volume). Filler adds volume (no lift). For patients with thicker skin or who don't want filler's spreading effect, threads are preferable. Often combined.
Is nose thread lifting safe?
Nose thread lifting requires careful medical assessment because the nose has complex vascular anatomy. At Newline Clinic, suitability, thread type, depth and placement are determined by the treating physician after examining the nose and relevant medical history.
Will my nose look "pulled" or unnatural?
No — proper placement creates subtle definition, not exaggerated change. Threads work with your existing anatomy to enhance, not transform. Realistic improvement, not dramatic.
What's the recovery time?
2–3 days mild swelling. Avoid pressure (glasses, sleeping on side) for 2 weeks. Most patients socialize within 3 days; full result at 4 weeks once swelling resolves.
Can nose threads correct a deviated nose?
Threads may provide limited soft-tissue refinement, but true skeletal deviation generally requires surgical evaluation. The Newline physician will explain whether a non-surgical option can reasonably meet the treatment goal.
Can nose threads make my nose smaller?
No — threads add structure and lift, they don't reduce. For nose reduction, surgical rhinoplasty is required. Threads enhance proportion and definition, not size reduction.
Can I combine nose threads with nose filler?
Yes — common combination. Threads provide bridge structure and tip lift; filler adds nuanced volume. Together they create comprehensive non-surgical nose enhancement.
Do you offer English-speaking consultations for nose threads?
Newline Clinic supports Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. A Chinese-speaking coordinator is available full-time, and English/Japanese interpretation can be arranged. For booking or consultation, contact the clinic through WhatsApp.
